Global Education Plus, the company behind London-based childcare provider Rising Stars Nurseries & Daycare, has launched its new ‘Rising Starlets’ interactive learning platform targeted towards children aged 0-5 and their families.
Most of the human brain’s development occurs during the first five years of life, meaning that a child’s formative years will have a lasting effect on their ability to learn and succeed in school and in life.
It has long been the philosophy of Global Education Plus and the Rising Stars brand that the best way for children to learn and develop their brains in their formative years is through play, the building of relationships, and engaging, fun learning activities. The new Rising Starlets digital platform is aimed at enabling that, both in and out of nursery.
Based around the Early Years Foundation Stage framework, the purpose of the platform is to offer children and their parents a simple and enjoyable structure for learning. This not only gives children fun ways to learn and absorb new information, but also offers parents a chance to keep track of their progression and structure how their child learns at home through a tailor-made ‘Build My Day’ feature.
Speaking to The Leaders Council, Global Education Plus founder, Gabriel Dumaka, said: “The 'Build My Day' tool is designed to work around the parents’ daily priorities. Over the years, we've noticed that too many parents find it hard to keep track of their child or children's daily activities. Rising Starlets is here for busy mums and dads who want to focus on their child's learning and development.
“The interactive learning hub is accessible anywhere, whether you’re at home, work or on holiday. The progress tracking feature and the ability it gives to be able to keep up to date with the milestones of your children is the whole point of the platform. We want to make it easy for busy parents to be involved in their child’s day no matter what their responsibilities are.
“Further to this, parents can use the ‘Build My Day’ tool to replicate their child’s nursery learning routine even if it is a time in the week where they are looking after them at home. We truly believe that this platform will make a positive difference to the lives of families.”
Some of the resources accessible through Rising Starlets include a wide variety of video activities and songs, which help learners develop their motor abilities and self-expression skills, as well as picking up new vocabulary, knowledge of sounds and more. Rising Starlets’ extensive range of video activities and physical exercises allows for more active participation from learners and helps with critical brain development during formative years.
Accessing Rising Starlets is also a simple process. Families can register online via the Rising Starlets website for either of its two membership offerings, the ‘Bright Star’ or ‘Superstar’ membership. The three are available with monthly, quarterly or annual payment plans with a seven-day free trial for new subscribers.
Once parents and families have signed up to the platform, access is granted to Rising Starlets’ ‘Your-Go-To-Home Interactive Learning Hub’, which enables access to all the key resources available in their chosen membership plan to help engage and encourage the child’s imagination.
Dumaka said: “In light of the current cost-of-living pressures, we have ensured that the memberships for the platform are fairly priced, with our cheapest monthly membership costing just £11.49. This ensures that everyone can access it and learn. We have some amazing offers and an exciting rewards system in place, all in the aim of helping the families we serve.”
While Rising Starlets’ unique and dynamic platform is currently available in the UK, Dumaka has ambitions of rolling it out across the globe in the months ahead.
“We’ve already received great feedback from users in the US who’ve trialled Rising Starlets, but you only need to look at the war in Ukraine and some of the learning time that young children there will have lost to see the good that a platform like this can do. We want to be able to make sure education is accessible even for those who can’t attend a physical setting.
“In the longer term, therefore, my ambition is to take Rising Starlets beyond the UK and into the wider world, where it can continue to make a bigger difference. That is what we plan to do.”
