Meet the Team
David BlunkettChairman of The Leaders Council
David Blunkett chairs regular board meetings and video calls with Leaders Council members. He is committed to increasing the quality of the conversation between SMEs and policy makers. A current member of the House of Lords, he was an MP for twenty-three years and has served as Home Secretary, Education and Employment Secretary and Work and Pensions Secretary.
Daniel YossmanExecutive Director
Daniel Yossman oversees the The Leaders Council’s long-term planning and strategy. Over the past decade, he has worked closely with Prime Ministers, Chancellors of the Exchequer, numerous Cabinet ministers and many of the UK’s leading executives and journalists.
Craig WilmannExecutive Director
Craig Wilmann oversees the day to day operations of The Leaders Council. He hosts the majority of Leaders Council events and is a regular guest on the Leaders Council podcast. During his career, he has been a speech and content writer for several CEOs, senior politicians and public figures. He has also written extensively for the theatre.
Joshua Jackson works closely with Leaders Council members to ensure their voice is being heard in the national debate on their sector or industry. He regularly connects members with policy makers. He also curates the Leaders Council podcast and is responsible for a great deal of the organisation’s day to day running.
Ben BarberChief Technology Officer
Ben Barber is responsible for the creation and development of all the Leaders Council’s online operations, from the website itself to the exclusive online membership platform. He also works closely with all of the team, ensuring that all operations and internal processes run smooth and efficiently.
Ross HindleContent Director
Ross Hindle is an experienced journalist who leads the content team, which produces video and audio content as well as managing social media and liaising with members on a number of large-scale creative projects.
Helen WilliamsDirector of Operations
Helen Williams oversees the day to day logistical demands of The Leaders Council, ensuring the prompt delivery and fulfilment of all the services and dealing with all issues related to compliance.
William GravesMembership Director
William Graves is the primary point of contact for the majority of Leaders Council members. He helps them to commission news articles, record podcasts and promote the work of their organisation. He has extensive experience working with CEOs, managing directors and policy makers.
Scott ChallinorBusiness Editor
Scott Challinor is responsible for the Leaders Council’s business-related content. He also hosts a number of Leaders Council podcasts. In his career to date, he has written for several national publications and has interviewed leaders from every sector in the UK.
Matthew O’NeillSenior Broadcaster
Matthew O’Neill hosts the majority of Leaders Council podcasts, as well as other news and video content. An experienced broadcaster, he has interviewed senior politicians and national figures and has clocked up well over one thousand hours of air time.
Florence McRaeCulture Editor
Florence McRae is responsible for all of the Leaders Council’s cultural content. She writes a weekly Long Read article which is published every Sunday. Topics have included The Turner Prize and The Pulitzer Prize.
