GTO Engineering was started by Mark in the early 1980's as a specialist sub-contractor working for some of the most prestigious Ferrari dealers and specialists. By the late 1980s, Mark had formed a partnership with his wife Rosie and set up his own small workshop in Northwood out of which the business ran. 

After several years, GTO moved to larger premises at The Old Stables in Harrow and began to take on staff, the first being Mark’s old friend and colleague Kevin Jones, known to many event and race-goers. 

As GTO's reputation spread over the years, the business grew, and in the 1990's the parts operation of the firm commenced to serve the growing demand for increasingly rare parts.

In 1998 GTO were offered an opportunity to purchase Tony Merrick's operation in rural Berkshire, where the company remains to this day servicing, race/tour preparing, inspecting classic Ferraris and making, sourcing and selling rare Ferrari parts.

In 2010 GTO London was launched by Mark’s daughter, Victoria, building on GTO's reputation for quality, precision engineering with a range of luxury lifestyle goods.
