Radical Sportscars has announced Acqua Rossa Motorsport as its new dealer in Switzerland, which comes as part of the global sports racing car manufacturer's continuing expansion.

The addition of Acqua Rossa Motorsport means that Radical now boasts 31 dealers across 21 countries, making it the most successful motorsport franchise in the world.

Although founded by Nikki Schumann as recently as 2016, Acqua Rossa Motorsport - based in the Swiss canton of Neuchâtel - boasts a combined 15 years of experience among its staff in operating Radical car models for a healthy client base. It operates more than 20 Radical vehicles to date, offering services such as storage, maintenance and preparation, trackside support, spare parts supply, and second-hand vehicle sales.

Its location is a short distance from Switzerland’s only racing circuit, the Circuit de Lignières, and is a short drive from other famous European track venues including Dijon Prenois, Magny-Cours, Circuit de Bresse and Paul-Ricard.

As the latest member of the Radical family, Acqua Rossa will continue promoting motorsport through its supply, rental and support services for Radical vehicles, ensuring that Swiss motorsport fans continue to enjoy driving at Europe’s famous venues. It will also guarantee locals direct access to Radical’s renown range of sports racing cars, including the new turbocharged SR10 model.

Acqua Rossa founder and director, Nikki Schumann, commented: “For several years now we’ve seen a tremendous opportunity for Radical sports racing cars in Switzerland, and we’re delighted to have been selected to become an official dealer.

“Acqua Rossa Motorsport was founded in 2016 around our passion for driving and racing Radical cars in Switzerland and throughout Europe, and we know from our own customer base that these cars are held in such high regard by many Swiss enthusiasts.

“We have big plans to develop the brand in Switzerland with a range of events and activities, both on track and off, and we can’t wait to show the latest Radical range to Swiss motorsport enthusiasts.”

The appointment of Acqua Rossa as Radical Switzerland’s dealership follows the launches of Radical Australia East, Radical Benelux and Radical Romania, which have all taken place over the last six months as part of the company’s expansion plans.

Dan Redpath, Radical’s global sales director, said: “Nikki [Schumann] and his team have demonstrated a strong commitment to the Radical brand, they already have good relationships with our spare parts and engineering teams due to the Radicals they’ve been running, and they’ve acted as powerful advocates for us and our vehicles since 2016.

“In 2020 we enjoyed our most successful year yet, which also saw the launch of two exciting new models. It’s an exciting time for us as we continue to expand our global dealer network, and we’re delighted to now be working with Acqua Rossa Motorsport in an official capacity.

"All of us here at Radical Sportscars are very excited for the great contribution that Nikki and his team will surely bring to our continued expansion.”
