Nik Hardy, managing director of Hardy Signs, is due to appear at a Generation Next networking event at Nottingham Trent University’s Dryden Enterprise Centre on December 15.

Hardy Signs is one of several proud partners of Generation Next, an organisation run by the East Midlands Chamber that aims to support young professionals and the next generation of business leaders. The event aims to show young professionals what they need to do to create strong allies in their communities from the very start of their professional journeys.

The event, beginning at 15:30 GMT, will be hosted by Generation Next champion Katrina Starkie. Hardy’s keynote speech will see him talk about his own business journey - taking Hardy Signs from a garage start-up in 1993 to the international supplier of signage solutions that it is today - and discuss how he built a strong commitment to community and social responsibility within his company.

Through his story, Hardy hopes to inspire young and aspiring leaders and raise awareness of the importance of building relationships and forming communities that are guided by the values of social responsibility.

Hardy said: “When business, communities and corporate social responsibility strategies come together, we achieve exceptional development.

“It is often said that once you have 1,000 loyal followers, then you become a trustworthy brand. I am honoured to talk about how we at Hardy Signs have got to that stage, and about strategies that young professionals can utilise in order to grow while simultaneously creating strong allies in their community.”

Anybody interested in attending the event can book their place here.
