This year, award-winning nursery group Monkey Puzzle Day Nurseries has launched three new settings in London and the Southeast, with the opening of premises in Sutton, Charlton and Guildford, Surrey.

On July 29, Monkey Puzzle held its official open day at the new Sutton site, the first of the trio to begin operations.

The open day was visited by prospective parents and children as well as special guests the MP for Sutton, Paul Scully, and Jenny the Giraffe – the mascot for local football club Sutton United.

The Sutton site is situated in Cheam, South London, a 20-minute walk from Cheam train station and a short drive from the A24 and the A232, making it an ideal location for families living in the London Borough of Sutton or commuting in and out of South London.

The two special guests on the open day helped Mark Crosby, the Monkey Puzzle founder, cut the ceremonial ribbon to mark the opening the new premises.

The following month of August then brought a double celebration for Monkey Puzzle, as the openings of both the Charlton and Guildford settings were marked.

The official open day for the site in Charlton once again brought a visit from the local football club mascot, Charlton Athletic’s Harvey the Cat. Harvey and Monkey Puzzle’s very own mascot Marvin the Monkey were on hand to interact with and entertain the many guests in attendance and meet prospective parents and children.

The Charlton site is based at the heart of Charlton in the London Borough of Greenwich, in an ideal location just nine minutes away from Charlton train station by foot.

The Guildford site is also situated in an ideal town centre location for local families, based four minutes away from London Road Railway Station by foot and a short drive from the A3.

For the grand opening of Monkey Puzzle Guildford, the new site’s nursery manager and mascot Marvin the Monkey were joined by special guest Dennis Booth, the mayor of Guildford, who was given a guided tour of the new nursery.

Booth later helped put the gloss on the occasion by cutting the ribbon and declaring the new site open for parents and children.

The opening of the three new sites in 2022 will extend Monkey Puzzle’s capability of offering high quality childcare in specially equipped nursery settings for children aged three months to five years. Across its array of over 60 sites across the country, the group tailors its care to suit each individual child, whichever stage of their development they may be at.
