ADEY come in for praise, while Wills & Trusts and Maped Helix offer timely guidance

ADEY, the Cheltenham-based designers and manufacturers, have come in for praise from one of their key clients. Meanwhile, Wills & Trusts and Maped Helix have offered timely advice for, respectively, people looking to secure their estates and parents settling their children back into school.

ADEY

The groundbreaking, multiple Queen’s Award winners ADEY have come in for praise from Michael Chandler, the Domestic Gas Contracts Manager for Aston Group. Speaking about his experience using the ADEY ProCheck, Chandler said:

"We have always performed water testing on new full system installations and boiler replacements as part of our obligation to our client and manufacturers requirements. But it also gives us the confirmation that the system is in good health to get the maximum efficiency from the boiler.

‘With long term service and maintenance contracts ADEY ProCheck provides us with a quick, cost effective means to ensure the systems we maintain are in good condition to prevent future breakdowns at a higher expense.

‘Using ADEY ProCheck will be our default choice in the future as it allows us to complete the final installation packs faster for the clients resulting in a more efficient service. We will use the facility to show where systems need cleaning to restore full efficiency and prevent further failures.

The app allows us to provide evidence to the clients or homeowners while the engineer is on site for quick solutions to be decided. This enables systems to be treated as required in a quicker timescale preventing further damage to the boiler.

‘Due to the benefits I have already stated, we feel the ADEY ProCheck function will be beneficial to all companies or engineers in the industry. It can push the cost of system testing down, ease the process of obtaining results and hopefully more systems being correctly checked preventing boiler breakdowns and keeping efficiency at acceptable levels.

‘The app is simple, quick and easy to use with the test equipment, being compact enough to not take up space in an engineer’s van".

ADEY was founded by Chris Adey, the inventor of magnetic filtration technology

Wills & Trusts

Following the government’s decision to amend the Wills Act 1837 in England and Wales to allow Wills for the first time to be witnessed via video link where necessary, rather than physically in person, Wills & Trusts have released some simple and straightforward guidance on their website.

The Oxfordshire-based firm, which was set up by David Bachelor in 1992 ‘in the belief that building and protecting legacies for future generations, one family at a time, was a worthwhile purpose’ has described the government’s decision as ‘welcomed news that is allowing the elderly, vulnerable and anybody else currently isolating or not wishing to take undue risks due to Covid-19 to stay in control of their estates and plan for the future in these unprecedented times.’

Their key steps to follow are: Ensure you remain within the guidelines, use a reliable, reputable online platform, be descriptive on the video by stating exactly what it is you are doing, save and download any recording that you make, and seek professional advice.

You can find a full summary of each of these steps on the Wills & Trusts website.

Maped Helix

West-Midlands based stationary manufacturer, Maped Helix, have provided much needed advice for parents who are currently in the process of readapting to the school routine.

The advice includes helping them to draw the positives from this period, such as seeing their friends and learning new things, rather than the negatives around Covid-19.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Maped Helix makes the point that it is essential to equip children with a good set of stationary. They particularly recommend the Oxford Camo set.
