Vicky Callaghan is the headteacher at Newland School for Girls, a diverse, highly aspirational and high-achieving academy that has been educating young women for more than 100 years in Kingston upon Hull.

Vicky arrived at Newland in 2014 to take up her first headship, after spending over eight years as deputy head at two other schools. Under her leadership, Newland School’s greatest focus for improvement has been the quality of teaching and learning, which has been enhanced to great effect.
