From my late teens I have had fascination with economics, personal finance and financial products.  Not many teenagers ask for shares for their 18th Birthday and, I can assure you, that I was the only 18 year old queuing to enter the Stock Exchange on the day of the 'Big Bang' in 1986.

Subsequently, I have spent my whole working life looking after other people's money and simplifying their arrangements so that they can understand what is going on.  As a result, I have become one of the UK's most qualified Independent Financial Advisers holding Fellowship level in both the Personal Finance Society and the Charted Institute of Securities and Investments.  In 2013, I completed as Masters Degree in Financial Planning and Business Management.

Career Overview

My career in banking started after A levels but after 5 years I moved to a Building Society for my first Regulated role, advising on Mortgages.  After 8 very successful years in advising individuals, I changed tack slightly to work for insurance and investment businesses.  It was during this time that I really focused on my qualifications.

However, in 2008, the opportunity arose to return to a local IFA  in a client advising role.  After 2 years this hadn't quite developed as I had hoped so Kingsfleet Wealth was founded.  The first 4 months were spent working on my kitchen table but over the last 10 years we have built the business beyond anything I could have imagined.

We became a Chartered firm in 2011 and have built the business by referrals, primarily from lawyers and accountants.  In 2016, we co-founded a Discretionary Investment business (RXi Wealth) so that our clients could receive better investment outcomes at a more competitive cost to many City firms.

We have been nominated for many awards, both nationally and locally and we continue to strive to always do what is best for our clients.

An important aspect of our business is that we must bring a benefit to our community in addition to profitability.  Therefore, we seek to support local charitable causes but have also established a Charitable Trust to support educational causes in Suffolk.  Kingsfleet was the name of my primary school and I recognise that I am only doing what I do because of the education, teaching and mentoring that I received as I grew up in Felixstowe.
