Colin Kerrigan is an established academic and executive director of the International School of Creative Arts [ISCA], a fully independent and thriving school for pre-university study in art and design, based in Buckinghamshire.

Career Overview

Kerrigan is a long-serving Fine Art academic. He has twice served in roles at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London, firstly as a principal lecturer from 1990 to 1993, and as its head of international development between 1998 and 2004. In the years between those spells, he sat as head of the School of Art and Design at Kolej Bandar Utama in Malaysia, having been seconded by Central Saint Martins to establish a new School of Art and Design there.

After leaving Central Saint Martins, Kerrigan worked as deputy director of the University of Arts London’s International Centre between 2005 and 2013. Since 2013, he has sat as executive director of ISCA, and directed London-based Tutorials Live.

At ISCA, Kerrigan oversees its independent provision of student centric pre-university education in art and design, targeted toward students aged 16 to 19.

Over 2015 and 2016, Kerrigan spent a period as a visiting professor at Heilongjiang International University in China.

Education

Kerrigan studied Fine Art with a focus on Sculpture at undergraduate level at the Birmingham College of Art and Design. He completed his postgraduate studies in Sculpture at Bennington College in the US State of Vermont.
