Ann Hickey is the CEO at East Sussex Credit Union [ESCU], a not-for-profit savings and loans co-operative, which has been trading since August 2000.

Ann first joined ESCU in 2014 in the general manager’s role. Following two successful years in the job, she was elevated to the position of CEO in 2016, and now strategically leads one of the fastest-growing credit unions.

Career Overview

In 2014 Ann was promoted to the general manager’s role at ESCU. Following two successful years in the job, she was elevated to the position of CEO in 2016, and now strategically leads one of the fastest-growing credit unions.

Alongside her work at ESCU, Ann has taken active roles in a number of voluntary organisations over the years, including the Brighton & Hove Volunteer Champions Group, Brighton & Hove Community Works, and the Brighton & Hove Fairness Commission.

In June 2021, Ann appeared on a Leaders Council of Great Britain & Northern Ireland podcast, discussing the importance of leadership and the impact it has had on her career to date.
