Sparta Global – a provider of technology training and careers for emerging talent in the UK and Ireland – has successfully expanded operations into Europe with its first deployment of “Spartan” consultants into Sweden.

Established in 2014 with a mission to help address the digital skills shortfall in the UK, Sparta Global upskills graduates and emerging talented individuals in the realms of technology and business. Training encompasses in demand industries such as data engineering, software engineering, test, cybersecurity, DevOps and business analysis.

After completing their training with the company, these fully-trained “Spartan” consultants are assigned to client projects.

Sparta Global currently counts major players such as BUPA, Admiral, Three Mobile, the Royal Bank of Scotland and the UK government among its clients, alongside over 75 other private and public sector organisations across every industry sector.

In the seven years since its foundation, Sparta Global has established itself as the talent partner of choice for global organisations across financial services, energy, health, media, technology, sport, top four consultancies and more.

In October 2020, Sparta Global received a significant investment boost from Inflexion private equity partners to help meet its growth ambitions and build on opportunities to expand its client base outside of the UK. After subsequently partnering with a global software company this year which boasts subsidiaries in 26 different countries spanning Europe, North America, the Asia-Pacific region and Africa, Sparta Global was selected to support the delivery of business and technology for projects in the UK, France and now Sweden, through its “Spartan” consultants.

Sparta Global CEO, David Rai, commented: “In the post-Covid era, it is more important than ever to invest in junior business and technology talent to futureproof your business. Sweden is a hotbed for digital innovation, and we are thrilled to be supporting our client’s growth and development in the region by providing access to the local technology talent they need.

“We have ambitious growth goals over the next five years, but as an inclusive employer that champions social mobility, youth employability and sustainability – our company values align entirely with those of Swedish businesses. We are incredibly excited to be working in the region”.
