Dr Abide Zenenga, a member of The Leaders Council and co-founder of Riverside Education, an independent school that provides alternative education to young people with autism, has published a book.

‘The Gift’ is Dr Zenenga’s autobiography and memoir, detailing how, as a Christian, he coped with the birth of his son who was born with Down’s Syndrome and autism.

Initial reviews have described the book as thought-provoking, emotional and inspirational, as Dr. Zenenga found hope and faith in what he described as some of the darkest moments in his life.

He now describes his son as a ‘gift’ from God that has enabled him to support and inspire other families and individuals in the same situation as him, inspiring the title of his work.

Published by Austin Macauley, the book is out today (July 29) and is available as both an audio and e-book at WH Smith, eBay, Telegraph Books and World of Books.

The paperback version can also be purchased on Amazon, Barnes & Noble and Waterstones.
