Recession Rebellion: Delivered Social launches new scheme to help firms excel through cost-of-living crisis

Marketing agency Delivered Social has launched a new initiative known as Recession Rebellion to help business through the cost-of-living crisis.

Having recently expanded into the waterfront city of Portsmouth, Hampshire, Delivered Social is helping businesses in the area generate more sales through increased brand exposure through the new scheme.

As part of its Recession Rebellion offer, Delivered Social is offering discounts of up to 50 per cent on its services to ensure that more businesses are able to take advantage and pay what they can afford to in tough times.

Speaking to South East Online, Delivered Social director Jonathan Bird explained that he felt empowered to help businesses survive and thrive in a difficult economic climate and that a robust and properly implemented marketing strategy could prove vital in delivering that.

Bird said: “In times of uncertainty, you can do one of three things – close your eyes and ignore it, which doesn’t work for obvious reasons, trim costs and pray that it’s all going to be okay or do something about it. I’m firmly in camp three and that’s why we launched Recession Rebellion.

“There are some choppy waters coming up and with a recession looking likely, it’s going to be tough for businesses. It’s not right that we simply keep our head above water in times like these, we should be navigating those waters with ease for both your family and bank account.

“The good news is that with excellent marketing, businesses can and will thrive.”

Delivered Social’s service package available through Recession Rebellion ensures that firms have an entire marketing team at their disposal at a cut-price rate. Its provision encompasses areas such as search engine optimisation [SEO], photo and video content generation, social media, PR and much more.

Terence Carvalho, Delivered Social’s regional director for Portsmouth, said that he and all at the digital marketing firm were determined to ensure that Portsmouth, its businesses and its communities could emerge from the cost-of-living crisis both stronger and more resilient.

Carvalho was an instrumental figure behind Delivered Social’s partnership with local organisation, Shaping Portsmouth, which sees the two come together to help grow local businesses and promote the city as a great place to live, work and invest in.

He said: “As a Portsmouth ambassador I take great pride in the city and am doing all I can to ensure that people living in the city can thrive, whatever their situation.

“It’s only right that we have the same ethos at Delivered Social, where we can help the business community to thrive as well as the wider community. Hopefully together, we can ensure Portsmouth comes out of this crisis stronger than ever.”

Carvalho’s work on the ground in his home city even goes beyond Delivered Social’s offering. He is also working as a trustee for local charity the Literacy Hubs, which is aiming to tackle Portsmouth’s problem of having some of the lowest literacy levels in the UK. It does this by providing unique and creative learning environments which can spark the creativity of youngsters from disadvantaged backgrounds and help them enjoy and excel in reading and writing.

“Giving back to the city of Portsmouth is something I am extremely passionate about, and the charity does some incredible work improving literacy levels in our city,” Carvalho told The Leaders Council.

“We want to do everything we can to help the children of Portsmouth achieve what they want to achieve.”
