London-based accountancy firm Stuart Harris Associates has announced that it has merged with neighbouring accountancy practice, Richard Joseph & Co.

Stuart Harris Associates, based in Woodside Park, will now become an enlarged practice having joined forces with counterpart Richard Joseph & Co, situated in Edgware.

Stuart Harris Associates Managing Director, Stuart Harris [pictured], commented: “I am pleased that we have merged with Richard Joseph & Co. Richard will still be around and playing a role within the company, but one of the main reasons behind the merger was to reduce his workload.”

The larger practice consisting of both businesses will deploy the latest in state-of-the-art systems and software available to the industry to help carry out work quickly and efficiently, and will maintain the Stuart Harris philosophy of “friendly accounting”.

Harris added: “I run an extremely high-tech office with state-of-the-art systems. I do all my work from my home-office, like a lot of small businesses nowadays, and my practice has grown organically.

“The hallmarks of our approach are being easily contactable for clients, being able to explain the complexities of accountancy and taxation in plain and simple English, and networking to help our clients grow their companies. With the addition of Richard Joseph & Co, we will be able to continue fulfilling our promise to clients with greater vigour than ever.”
