Bangor-based firm Denroy has reaffirmed its commitment to working to the highest possible industry standards after achieving the 6* EFQM Benchmark.

Globally recognised, the EFQM model is a framework for driving exceptional company performance through continuous improvement and change management.

The training and assessment of Denroy which culminated in the awarding of the benchmark was organised by the Centre for Competitiveness in Belfast.

John Irwin [pictured, centre], managing director at Denroy, commented: “Utilising the EFQM model has been fundamental in the success of Denroy through the difficult period of the Covid pandemic, managing the rapid growth of our Denpro PPE manufacturing and preparing for forecast growth in the coming years.

“We also issue thanks to the Centre for Competitiveness for organising the training and assessment for the 6* EFQM Award.”

Irwin also paid tribute to those who played an influential role in helping Denroy secure the recognition, including continuous improvement engineer, Neil Bailey [pictured, right], and Queen’s University Belfast student Niall McLoughlin [pictured, left], who has been conducting his business placement at Denroy under Bailey’s tutelage.
