Delivered Social to open in Portsmouth and offer free services to local charities

Surrey-based marketing agency Delivered Social is set to open its new branch in the city of Portsmouth to extend its new and innovative offering to businesses and organisations in the Hampshire city.

The agency, headed by managing director Jonathan Bird, first opened its doors in Guildford in 2016. Over the last six years, it has amassed a team of 15 people and now works with roughly 200 clients.

Among its team is the award-winning former hospitality sector leader, Terence Carvalho [pictured]. He will lead the new Portsmouth arm of the business as regional director, and oversee its offering of marketing services covering social media, website building, SEO, app building, video production and more.

After being in the pipeline for several weeks, Delivered Social recently soft launched in Portsmouth by hosting a series of free social media clinics at Southsea’s Queens Hotel, which saw a healthy take-up. It was fitting that the site was mere minutes away from Becketts, the hotel and restaurant which Carvalho ran as general manager between 2019 to 2022, winning multiple awards.

Bird told The News: “Our social clinics were a huge success in Portsmouth, as they are in Guildford, and we will be continuing them as we move into the city properly in the coming months.

“We essentially pick apart businesses’ online presence and help them to make it better, without pitching our services – just purely to help for free.”

To help raise awareness of its work, Delivered Social will be offering free marketing services up to the value of £3,000 for any charity based within the Portsmouth area, a move which Carvalho believes will make a real difference for those who take-up the option.

Carvalho said: “That amount of free marketing is phenomenal and could be a real game changer for charities, especially smaller ones.”
