Creo Medical Group opened its new United States headquarters in Connecticut last month, with the new site based at the Summit in Danbury.

Founded in 2003, Creo Medical is focused on improving patient outcomes by applying advanced energy to the emerging field of surgical endoscopy.

The new site includes a learning centre and fully equipped training laboratory, which will allow for on-site immersive, didactic ex-vivo, training sessions supporting Creo’s education led commercialisation strategy.

The headquarters were designed in order to allow for Creo to develop and grow further as a company, while also shifting its focus towards the US market.

Customer service, finance, product logistics, distribution and other day-to-day functions will also be based in the Danbury office.

The firm has built a commercial team in the US over the past 18 months and also appointed a director of clinical education who will be responsible for ensuring the safe use of Creo products and platforms.

The Creo CROMA Energy Generator platform is used by numerous academic institutions across the country, while many figures within the sector were trained though its Clinical Education Programme.

These centres have been identified as “Centres of Excellence for the operation of our Clinical Education Programme" and will play a significant role in educating the next wave of clinical users in the US.

“We are delighted and proud to have opened our first United States facility, illustrating our commitment to growth and our focus on the key United States Market," said Creo Medical CEO Craig Gulliford.

"These new premises will provide an excellent working environment for our United States team and a platform to attract further talent in this key region of the United States market.”

"Since my appointment in August last year, I have been busy assembling an experienced team to help capitalise on our continued evolution and expansion as a leading medical device Company," added chief commercial officer David Woods.

"The opening of this clinical training and commercial support facility in the United States represents the next phase in our planned and sustained development and further illustrates our growth and focus in the United States region, which gives even greater access to another important market.”
