On December 7, 2022, Community & Business Partners is hosting a North West HR Employers Forum which is free to attend for HR practitioners and business leaders who wish to stay up to date with current trends in the industry.

Community & Business Partners’ North West Employers Forums are organised biannually with regular slots from Forbes Employment Solicitors, Co-Creation Group Leadership & Management Specialists, and guest speakers from the HR world who present on relevant HR and employment topics.

Running from 09:00 GMT to 12:00 GMT, the Forum will also allow for attendees to network with HR practitioners and business owners.

While Forbes Solicitors will be providing a legal update for the industry, further talks will be delivered at the December event by Lt Col Edward Fraser from The Duke of Lancaster's Regiment and the Co-Creation Group’s Rebecca Stevens.

Lt Col Edward Fraser is the commanding officer of the fourth battalion of the Duke of Lancaster’s Regiment, in charge of 500 Army Reserve soldiers across Lancashire, Cumbria, Merseyside and Greater Manchester.

The Army Reserve develops leaders and problem-solvers, providing personal and professional development to employees that comes at no cost to the employer. Edward will be highlighting some of the unique opportunities and benefits that the Army Reserve can offer, as well as an insight into the level of commitment required to succeed in such a career. He will also seek to illustrate what employers can gain from adopting a Reserve-friendly approach.

Rebecca – Co-Creation Group’s FHOCAL™ programme director – will be leading an interactive introductory session on FHOCAL™ and help identify how it can be applied within businesses and organisations. FHOCAL™ is a new model for change management, bringing together the best ideas, theories, research and tools from the field of positive psychology, and combining them into six key principles to help create a change-positive culture which will lead to better employee engagement and growth.

The full agenda for the Forum includes the following:

09:00 GMT: Light breakfast and networking session

09:30 GMT: Welcome and general introduction delivered by Jaydee Davis, operations director at Community & Business Partners

10:00 GMT: Talks begin with Andrew Halpin, senior associate at Forbes Solicitors; Lt Col Edward Fraser; and Rebecca Stevens delivering their sessions. This will be followed by closing remarks from Jaydee Davis.

11:30 GMT: Members of Forbes Solicitors employment and HR business support team, and Co-Creation Group will be available to answer any individual questions or queries that attendees may have in relation to their own organisations or employees.

12:00 GMT: End of Forum.

The Forum will be held at the Samlesbury Hotel on Preston New Road in Samlesbury, Preston, Lancashire, PR5 OUL.

Individuals wishing to attend can book their free place at the Forum here. Community & Business Partners advises that in the event of oversubscription, only one representative from each business/organisation wishing to attend the event may be able to turn up.
