Paul Douglas is the vice-president of Rigid Haulers, an arm of Volvo Construction Equipment, a major international company that develops, manufactures and markets equipment for construction and related industries.

Career Overview

With over 14,000 employees, Volvo Construction Equipment is one of the largest companies in the construction sector, offering products in over 140 countries.

Douglas is also active as Managing Director of Terex Trucks, another wholly owned subsidiary of Volvo Construction Equipment which is a global manufacturer of lifting and material processing products and services.

Douglas' first involvement with Terex was with its construction division, for which he worked between 2007 and 2009. A one-year stint with Alexander-Dennis Ltd followed, where he served as Group Head of Engineering. He returned to Terex in 2010.

In April 2020, Douglas appeared on a Leaders Council of Great Britain & Northern Ireland podcast, discussing the importance of leadership and the impact it has had on his career to date.

Education

Douglas is an alumnus of Northumbria University.
