Josh has extensive experience working with vulnerable individuals. He began his career working with children from ethnically diverse families who displayed learning difficulties, helping them gain access to education. He later went on to work for an advocacy organisation, which helped provide adults with learning difficulties with accessible information to promote rights, choices and control.

Josh has spent time doing similar work with vulnerable young adults in Australia and the US, taking up community support work upon his return to the UK. He established Your Way Bristol in 2009 when a group of adults with learning difficulties were unhappy with the care and support that they were receiving. The organisation grew when direct payments were identified as a solution for them to pay for their care and choose their support workers. 

Today, Your Way Bristol continues to support vulnerable people across Bristol to live independently, by helping them access direct payments which enable them to receive the support they desire.
