Tracy Pike MBE in the CEO of the Carmarthenshire Youth & Children’s Association [CYCA], a registered children’s charity operating across Carmarthenshire and elsewhere in Wales.

Tracy Pike MBE is the CEO of Connecting Youth Children and Adults [CYCA], a registered children’s charity operating across Carmarthenshire and elsewhere in Wales.

Career Overview

CYCA was first established in 1980. Under Pike’s leadership, its services include providing support for early years children and a wellbeing play setting for three-to-11-year-olds. The charity also provides accredited training to families and a preventative and crisis support service for families, young people and children.

From January 2014, Pike has served as an Ambassador for CEOP, offering recent research and training in child exploitation online and cyber bullying. She has also conducted half-day workshops to identify risks and aid the development of e-safety policies.

In July 2020, Pike appeared on a Leaders Council of Great Britain & Northern Ireland podcast, discussing the importance of leadership and the impact it has had on her career to date.

Education

Pike attended Llanelli Girls Grammar School before going on to study at Cardiff University's School of Home Economics between 1976 and 1979. 

Teaching Career

Between 1979 - the year of her graduation - and 1992, Pike spent almost 13 years as a teacher at St John Lloyd RC. Pike was responsible for pastoral care of girls and taught Textiles, English and Child Development during this time.
