Tim Button is a Doctor of Chiropractic and founded Cleve Chiropractic in Bristol in 2003. He has established the clinic as one of the best of its kind in the country.

Career Overview

For five years, Tim trained full time at the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in Bournemouth, the UK’s oldest established chiropractic college. He completed a four-year degree programme and, after earning a BSc in Chiropractic, followed that by completing a further year of clinical training and was awarded an MSc.

During Tim’s first year of practice, he took a post-graduate qualification that culminated in a Diploma of Chiropractic [DC] qualification.

Included in his many postgraduate qualifications is the ICSSD [the International Chiropractic Sports Science Diploma]. This qualifies him to work at major international sporting events. He has also qualified for the latest, gold standard, soft tissue Active Release Technique™ that is widely used in elite sport.

In 2003, Tim founded Cleve Chiropractic at Cleve Rugby club and the Old School GP surgery in Bristol, before moving to a bigger clinic in Mangotsfield in 2010. After ten years, Cleve Chiropractic outgrew its facilities, so Tim emabrked once again on developing and refurbishing a new clinic, the Old School House at 20A Cossham Street in Mangotsfield.

With the latest move, Cleve Chiropractic’s current premises houses ten treatment rooms, a rehab gym and even an anti-gravity treadmill room.

Tim has a sterling reputation within the industry and has spent time working as the official chiropractor for Bristol Rovers Football Club, a role which he has proudly held since 2003. He has also worked in the same role with Rugby Union Premiership club Bath Rugby for the best part of a decade.

For the London 2012 Olympic Games, Tim was selected to lead the chiropratic team at the sailing village in Weymouth and currently works with the Great Britain Paralympic squad at their training village in Bath. He was also selected to work as a chiropractor for the London IAAF World Athletic Championships in 2017.

Elsewhere, Tim has worked at the British Indoor, Outdoor and World Masters Athletics Championships and travelled to Budapest with the successful GB Masters judo team.

In 2013, as one of Britain’s youngest ever chiropractors, Tim was awarded chiropractic’s highest honour, becoming a fellow of the Royal College of Chiropractors’ sports faculty. He has also been elected as a Vice President for the British Chiropractic Association that helps to run the profession, is a member of the Royal Society of Medicine and the British Association of Sport and Exercise Medicine and is registered with the General Chiropractic Council.

In January 2022, Tim appeared on a Leaders Council of Great Britain & Northern Ireland podcast, discussing the importance of leadership and the impact it has had his career to date.
