Gregory Bell is the CEO of Skipton Business Finance, an arm of the Skipton Building Society.

Greg boasts an established background in banking and finance, having worked for names such as GE Capital, Abbey National and Close Brothers Invoice Finance since the mid-1980s.

As an accredited lender, Skipton Business Finance was an important supporter of SMEs during the Covid-19 pandemic by providing Business Bounce Back Loans and Coronavirus Business Interruption Loans to companies.

Career Overview

Greg boasts an established background in banking and finance, having worked for names such as GE Capital, Abbey National and Close Brothers Invoice Finance since the mid-1980s. 

During his time working for the Skipton Building Society, Greg formed part of the team which drew up the business plan for Skipton Business Finance starting from 2001. Initially handling sales and marketing, Greg took over the running of the company in 2010.

As an accredited lender, Skipton Business Finance was an important supporter of SMEs during the Covid-19 pandemic by providing Business Bounce Back Loans and Coronavirus Business Interruption Loans to companies. 

In February 2022, Greg appeared on a Leaders Council of Great Britain & Northern Ireland podcast, discussing the importance of leadership and the impact it has had on his career to date.
