Claire Freeth is the owner of Little Burrows Montessori Nursery, a nursery adhering to the Montessori style of education situated across two sites in Surrey.

Claire trained as a Montessori Teacher after her first three children had reached school age. Having accumulated several years of experience, she took over an existing nursery and re-opened as Two Rivers Montessori Nursery in 2001.

Career Overview

Claire trained as a Montessori Teacher after her first three children had reached school age. Having accumulated several years of experience, she took over an existing nursery and re-opened as Two Rivers Montessori Nursery in 2001.

Today, she runs Little Burrows Montessori Nursery across its two sites in Lightwater and Staines. Her leadership was paramount in keeping both settings open during the Covid-19 pandemic and providing care and education to local children.

Outside of her responsibilities with the nursery, Claire lectures and assesses BTEC Diploma students and has delivered lectures at Kingston University on subjects such as “The importance of outside play”.

In February 2022, Claire appeared on a Leaders Council of Great Britain & Northern Ireland podcast, discussing the importance of leadership and the impact it has had on her career to date.

Education

Claire has completed a degree in Early Years Education and has earned Early Years Professional Status.
