Sparta Global’s Rituja Rao honoured with 2020 TechWomen 100 Award

Sparta Global IT Consultant and Project Manager Rituja Rao has been recognised as an emerging thought leader within the technology industry after scooping the Future Star of Tech: IT Manager Award 2020 at the TechWomen 100 2020 Awards.

It is the latest accolade in what has been a successful 2020 for Rao, after she was awarded the Women on Boards Bursary earlier in the year.

Boasting experience in the field of journalism, Rao brings a creative approach to IT consultancy, buoyed further by her background in digital transformation and change management. Her notable achievements, which also saw her become one of the first 100 TechUP Women, include the delivery of a £1 million digital transformation project in which she implemented Azure DevOps and a DevOps delivery framework for a client in the banking sector.

Notably, Rao embarked on her technology career without holding a STEM degree, and is now an established speaker within the industry seeking to inspire the next generation by encouraging graduates who have not studied tech-related degrees to pursue careers within the sector as she did.

She is an active blogger in her spare time and hosts her own YouTube channel targeted toward millennials where she explores how to manage mental health and wellbeing in the early stages of one’s career.

Rao also actively champions skills diversity within technology companies and is a Tech Talent Charter Ambassador and trustee and board director for the Being Woman Charity UK.
