Scan Global Logistics [SGL], the parent company of Horizon International, has donated 100,000 Danish krone to the humanitarian response in Ukraine.

The donation has gone via two different relief organisations, the UN Refugee Agency [UNHCR] and Danish humanitarian aid project, SOS Bornebyerne.

In a statement, SGL said: “We deeply sympathise with the people of Ukraine, and this is why SGL wishes to play our small part in providing help and relief during this tragic and painful time.

“We wish and hope for an immediate resolution of this tragic conflict.”

The funds donated will go towards providing a range of support for Ukrainians affected by the conflict.

This support includes but is not restricted to the providing of emergency assistance with food and clean water, medicine, sanitation, clothes and blankets, shelter assistance, trauma treatment and psychosocial support, aid to local healthcare and education services and ensuring care for orphans, vulnerable children and families.

The two relief organisations that have been donated to are also known to offer cash assistance for the most vulnerable that have been affected by conflict, and measures to help family members stay together or reunite amid the chaos of war.
