Robinson Jackson: Open for business

With guidance from the government's Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government pointing towards a return to normal for the residential property market, many estate agents and other firms in the sector are considering how they will adapt to the "new normal" after Covid-19.

For many, the post-pandemic business world will undoubtedly be a tough arena, and it will be some time still before they open, while plans and projects are adjusted and tweaked behind closed doors to adapt to a very different playing field.

However, while it is important to adapt, it is also important to respond in a quick and agile manner: and it is here that it would be remiss of us not to mention property firm Robinson Jackson.

An announcement posted on their website today states that the firm is "open for business", and offers an explanation of the changes facing a post-coronavirus property sector to demystify the new regulations and requirements for prospective buyers, landlords and tenants alike.

"Although Covid-19 has presented unique challenges for people looking to move or let, it is far from impossible," the website says.

"In fact, by working within the government guidelines, we are successfully conducting appointments, negotiating offers, and progressing sales and lets through to a mutually agreed moving-in date."

The firm wishes to offer its services to those who "want to keep their plans" moving and have also reassured prospective customers that its staff are well-versed in Covid-19 restrictions to help mitigate the spread of the virus while remaining operational.

Managing Partner Simon Woodcock described the world after Covid-19 as "the time to work closely with a longstanding, trusted estate agent".

"Newspaper reporting over the coming months is likely to be fickle and based on the national property market, so it is important to speak to high street agents regularly for the local picture.

"Across our branches in London & Kent, managers are reporting they are busy, and that the buying public has adjusted quickly to the new guidelines and are well-prepared."
