Coronavirus update: Deaths approach 100,000

Boris Johnson was moved out of intensive care yesterday, but remains in hospital. 

His father Stanley has advised that he "must rest up" before returning to the government helm and leading the fight back against Covid-19.

There are now more than 65,000 cases in the UK and almost 8,000 deaths.

The EU has agreed on a 500 billion euro package to support its member countries following allegations that the bloc was not doing enough to help those hit hardest, including Italy and Spain.

And in the US, thousands of undocumented migrants have been expelled on CDC advice to help stem the spread of Covid-19.
