East Yorkshire-based private housebuilder Beal Homes has announced that it will continue to be an official partner of the CatZero charity in 2021.
CatZero, located in Hull, is a charitable entity which supports people of all ages who suffer from underlying issues that could form barriers to education, training, or employment opportunities, and helps them overcome these problems and enjoy normal life.
It works with individuals such as those recovering from mental health troubles, the long-term unemployed, former drug addicts, ex-offenders, and former service veterans.
Richard Beal, chief executive of Beal Homes [pictured], commented: “CatZero is a fantastic charity which makes an incredible difference to the lives of those it supports.
“It is committed to helping disadvantaged individuals and families, opening up opportunities to help them progress in life, and we’re delighted to continue our support.”
The charity often deploys its own development programmes to build confidence in the people it works with, including team-building exercises on board its own yacht.
As part of the continued partnership between CatZero and Beal Homes, Beal staff members will also take part in the same team-building initiatives.
The continuation of the partnership will allow Beal to build on the support that it has provided the charity over the last year, during which it helped support CatZero's director of sailing Danny Watson to raise funds for his sponsored feat of running 30 marathons in 30 days.
Watson’s efforts saw him cover 801 miles over the 30-day period and raise more than £35,000 for the charity, which went toward supporting children, young people, and families.
