Career Overview
Having completed his financial services training at Applewood Wealth Management and spent just over a year as a director at Wykeham Independent Consultants, Tristan decided to open a new family wealth management business, Hartey Wealth Management, in partnership with his father in 2014. The Hartey Wealth Management team now provides expert advice in all areas of financial planning, including pensions, savings, investments, life insurance and estate planning.
During his time at the helm and operating under the company’s principle of putting clients at the heart of all that they do, Tristan has led the family business through various milestones which has culminated in a host of achievements. These range from establishing the business in the city of Chester, building a strong team which now operates throughout the company and guiding the firm to successful growth.
In 2022, Tristan was a key figure behind the launch of 24/7 Investment Management, and sits as the company's managing director.
As an individual, Tristan is a two-time winner of the Young Entrepreneur of The Year and was shortlisted for the Unbiased 2017 awards in the Protection Adviser of the Year, Social Media Adviser of the Year and Responsible Investment Adviser of the Year categories.
Tristan is also the Committee Chair of a team within The Million Dollar Round Table, an exclusive group of the top producing financial advisers across the globe. He was also a keynote speaker at one of the group’s exclusive conferences in 2018.
In June 2020, Hartey appeared on a Leaders Council of Great Britain & Northern Ireland podcast, discussing the importance of leadership and the impact it has had on his career to date.
