Brunswick Park Primary School

Susannah Bellingham is the headteacher at Brunswick Park Primary School, a two-form entry mainstream community school in Camberwell, southeast London.

Career Overview

After having had just under seven years of teaching experience as a teacher and Music lead at Paddox Middle School, Henry Hinde Junior School and Goodrich Primary School, Susannah first joined Brunswick Park Primary in the year 2000.

Starting out as a senior leader at the school, she was appointed assistant headteacher in 2007 and in January 2014 began a short spell as acting head before taking on the role permanently in April of that year.

The year 2014 was a challenging one for the school, with a “requires improvement” outcome emerging from an Ofsted inspection that year. Since then under Susannah’s leadership, the school has triumphed in the face of adversity to become a “good” school once more.

Education

Susannah completed a BA in Music at Newcastle University before completing her PGCE at the University of Hull in 1993. In 2003, she completed an NPQH in Educational Leadership and Administration with University College London.
