Simeon’s entrepreneurial journey began in the 1990s, riding the crest of the wave of the dot-com boom. In 1997, he co-founded WebTech at the age of 16, as soon as he could legally start a company. WebTech offered a professional educational portal for schools, and what started out as a school project ended up successfully operating for many years after. It was by starting his own business that Simeon enjoyed his first taste of entrepreneurship and started him on his journey of success.

Simeon then partnered up with internet start-up myISP in 1999, with the objective to float it in the market. Simeon was responsible for the design and build of the entire service and ended up growing the business from zero to 70,000 members in an eight-month period.

In 2001, Simeon joined Black Serve, a website providing news and entertainment to the black community in the UK, after being head-hunted to lead its commercial arm. After one year working with the website, he spent a further year in a sales director role for High Media, for whom he managed online ad-space selling to some of the biggest websites in the world.

In 2013, Simeon began educating and telling of his business journey as a keynote speaker. Discussing topics such as Creativity, Storytelling, Filmmaking, Photography, Resilience & Business Continuity, Business for Creatives and more, he has spoken at numerous high-profile conferences including for Apple, Barclays, Canon, BSI, Getty Images, The Royal Navy, YouTube and more.

In 2016, Simeon was appointed a Canon ambassador in the EMEA [Europe, Middle East, Africa] region. In the role, he shares his experiences and insight on the subject of storytelling to professionals and consumers. In the same year, Simeon also founded VIVIDA, and led his own business as it carried out its aim of helping organisations drive change through powerful visual and immersive storytelling. To date, VIVIDA has worked with FTSE 500 companies like Barclays, Canon, Unilever, Burberry, GE as well as medium-sized enterprises to engage with audiences internally and externally on key issues. VIVIDA’s interventions have resulted in better employee retention, internal cultural change, CSR implementation and meaningful content creation and engaging training.

Since 2018, Simeon has also worked as an educator and mentor for YouTube and Google. In this capacity, he transfers creative, storytelling and technical knowledge to talented YouTube creators.

In 2019, Simeon was named in the BIMA [British Interactive Media Association] 100, a list of the digital sector’s most influential and pioneering individuals. Simeon was named a “Champion of Change” for his contributions to the industry in the realms of security awareness and diversity & inclusion.

Since 2020, Simeon and VIVIDA have partnered with the London Office of Rapid Cyber Enhancement, exploring how innovation and storytelling has the power to drive behavioural change within Cyber Security.

In July 2021, Simeon appeared on a Leaders Council of Great Britain & Northern Ireland podcast, discussing the importance of leadership and the impact it has had on his career to date.
