Paul H. Jones FRSC is the owner and Managing Director of Bitrez Group Ltd, the UK’s leading privately owned designer, developer, and manufacturer of speciality polymers.
Bitrez was initially founded in 1982 by Brian Allen and Peter Mangnall, with the name of the business originating from the range of bitumen and resin products the company offered at the time. Offering unique technologies, designed exclusively to meet customer needs, Bitrez is a Queen’s Award-winning manufacturer of synthetic resin, catalysts and curing agents for high performance markets. With a focus on targeting a reduced hazard rating and/or a reduced environmental impact, the company strive to create these products from sustainable sources that prevent further detriment to the environment.
With two manufacturing sites, located in the North of England, these products service speciality coatings, composite, defence, transport, and marine sectors.
Paul H. Jones is the owner and Managing Director of Bitrez Ltd and Anacarda Ltd. He is also the founder and owner of Chemical Processing Services Ltd. All three organisations are highly successful business concentrating on the design and development of speciality polymers.
When Bitrez was founded, Paul Jones was a laboratory technician, but over the years, he has climbed the corporate ladder of the business to partner with the founders and lead the firm successfully as Managing Director.
With Paul’s help, the business has established itself as a dynamic niche speciality resin supplier, with the capability to formulate and develop products and take them to market quickly and efficiently.
Paul has been responsible for the development of ground-breaking new products, with two separate, Queen’s Awards for Enterprise for Innovation (2019 and 2021), an IChemE global award and an array of supplementary awards for innovation, leadership, and supplier excellence.
Paul was listed in The Manufacturer Top 100 2020 and has received international success and recognition due to the innovative approach he takes to market demands and the resolution of problems. Most recently, Paul has been elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry and named 2021 Chemistry World Entrepreneur of the Year.
