Professor Mike Robinson Phd is the Director of Ironbridge International Institute for Cultural Heritage, a major inter-disciplinary research and graduate institute working with the World Heritage Site and associated museums of Ironbridge.
Career Overview
Professor Mike Robinson has nearly twenty five years of focus upon the inter-relationships between tourism, heritage and culture. Robinson believes that understanding tourism, ourselves, and others as tourists, provides us with an important conceptual lens through which we can interrogate heritage and other dimensions and expressions of culture. In March 2020, Professor Mike Robinson appeared on a Leaders Council of Great Britain and Northern Ireland podcast, discussing the importance of leadership and the role it has played in his career to date.
