Manning & Company
Mike LeGassick is a director and behavioural investment coach at Manning & Company, a long-established financial advice practice based in Ivybridge, Devon.
LeGassick’s first foray into the financial services industry came in 1991, when he began working with Pearls Assurance in Plymouth advising on regular savings and insurance products. He remained there until 1994, when he left to join another Plymouth firm, Wesleyan Financial Services.
After two years with Wesleyan where he provided financial advice to existing clients, LeGassick joined what was then Lloyd TSB in 1996 to take up a senior financial advisor role. He remained in the role for two years before opting to go independent as a financial advisor and life planner. LeGassick would work independently for almost 14 years, before joining Clarity Wealth Management in 2012. After spending a year there in an advisor role, he joined Manning & Company in July 2013.
By then, Manning & Company was an established practice, and LeGassick has since been an integral part of its ongoing growth. Today, Manning & Company offers independent financial advice and planning, specialising in pensions, investments and estate planning, looking at lifestyle planning rather than being product driven. The journey they provide is individualised, personalised and specialised for each client, and looks at reaching the best possible outcomes.
In April 2021, LeGassick released a book entitled ‘Your Money and Your Life’, which aims to teach readers vital life skills and money management know-how which are overlooked during school education.
LeGassick completed a three-year diploma in holistic financial advice with the Institute of Financial Studies between 2008 and 2011.
LeGassick is a supporter and fundraiser for the Wild Futures animal welfare charity and the St. Luke’s Hospice charity. For the latter, he once participated in a 24-hour sponsored snooker marathon to raise funds.
