Career Overview
After securing the relevant qualification at university, Sandison began delivering a childminding service local to the Shetlands over 20 years ago. This service provision granted her flexibility to remain at home and care for her own children.
After gradually building up a client base, skillset and personal confidence, Sandison incorporated Hame Fae Hame in 2008 and began to offer a high-quality and flexible service.

In late 2020, Hame Fae Hame secured funding from the Scottish government to go toward helping reduce child poverty by improving access to care for families on low incomes, with some of the money being invested into improving its facilities.
