Karl Hartey is the chairman of Hartey Wealth Management Ltd, a financial advice firm based in Chester, Cheshire.
Career Overview
As well as holding a Diploma in Financial Advice, Karl has amassed over 30 years of experience in the field and built solid relationships with clients along the way.
Following a short break from advising after 21 years as Managing Director of financial advice firm Applewood Wealth Management, Karl opened Hartey Wealth Management in partnership with his son, Tristan, in 2014, with an overarching principle of putting clients at the heart of the business.
To date, the family business helps clients achieve their financial goals by focusing on maximising wealth and protecting hard-earned assets. The Hartey Wealth Management team provides expert advice in all areas of financial planning, including pensions, savings, investments, life insurance and estate planning.
As well as bringing expertise in advising to the table, Karl also offers wisdom, knowledge and experience to each and every area of the company and is an active driver of positive change to help improve the service Hartey Wealth Management can offer. His influence has helped the company scoop mutliple awards over the years.
A renowned coach, speaker and author
As well as hosting a number of Hartey Wealth Management’s own events, Karl has featured as a main platform speaker at the prestigious Million Dollar Round Table conference, addressing thousands of global advisers. He has also spoken at multiple international conferences and authored two books which help explain the muddled world of finance and its products to readers.
Since 1992, Karl has owned another of own businesses known as Dream Team Coaching, where he provides support to small and medium-sized enterprises either on a one-to-one basis or as part of group projects.
A keen sportsman
Charity work
Alongside his business commitments, Karl is a patron of the Charlotte Hartey Foundation; a charity which was set up in memory of his daughter which is focused on helping children by providing local financial resources through gifts to youth clubs, schools and organisations.
The Foundation also funds structured, purposeful projects and ventures in and around Shropshire and Cheshire, giving youths the opportunity of reaching their full potential.
