Career Overview

Ian Duggan joined Acclaim Contracts in 2000, having previously served as Technical Manager at Callenders. Founded in 1982, Acclaim Contracts has an established reputation throughout London and the South East for delivering roofing and general building projects safely, on time, snag free and to budget. 

In May 2020, Ian Duggan appeared on a Leaders Council of Great Britain and Northern Ireland podcast, discussing the importance of leadership and the role it has played in his career to date.


Ian Duggan is an alumnus of Chelmsford College, Essex, where he gained a BTEC in Construction in 1992. He then proceeded to study at Greenwich University where he completed a degree in Building Surveying, Roofing and Refurbishment. He graduated in 1995.

Earlier Career

After graduating, Ian Duggan began work in 1995 at Hodgsons Ltd as an Assistant Site Manager, working on various refurbishment and new-build site works. After little under a year with the firm, he joined Callenders [Icopal] as Technical Manager, and oversaw responsibility for all technical site and product development issues. 

After four years with Callenders, Ian Duggan took up a director role with Acclaim in 2000, and remains with the business to date.
