Career Overview

After graduating from the University of South Wales in 2001 with First Class Honours in Business Information Management, Courtenay established MAWR Ltd, a web application development company which specialised in risk assessment management software.

After leaving the business he had founded, Courtenay was later appointed CTO at OnExamination, a business which was later acquired and integrated into the BMJ Group in 2007. Following the acquisition, Courtenay spent three years as CIO and deputy managing director, overseeing 60 per cent growth during his stint with the company.
