Carol Adkins is the director of Berkshire Physiotherapy, a private physiotherapy practice specialising in back and neck pain, neurology and post-Covid-19 rehabilitation.
Adkins has been director of Berkshire Physiotherapy since 1999. Having started out as a research physiotherapist at the University of Oxford in the 1980s, she went on to become a profound needs manager with Wycombe Social Services, where she remained until 1989.
After the foundation of Berkshire Physiotherapy, Adkins joined Bupa as a rehabilitation manager in 1996 and still retains the role to date. Between 2007 and 2018, she was also a visiting physiotherapist at Kumi Hospital in Uganda.
In September 2020, Adkins appeared on a Leaders Council of Great Britain & Northern Ireland podcast, discussing the importance of leadership and the impact it has had on her career to date.
