Andy Brunt is a partner sales manager at Telavox. Originally Scandinavia’s most successful cloud PBX which disrupted Sweden’s telecom market in 2003 with its IP telephony and cloud PBX services, Televox has since expanded operations to the UK to bring its solution to the British market.

Career Overview

An alumnus of Oaklands College where he acquired a GNVQ in Advanced IT, Andy Brunt is now an experienced channel manager and sales leader with a proven track record in the networking and computer software industry, having worked for names such as Virgin Business Solutions, Verint Systems and Adtech Global before joining Telavox in 2020. He is proficient in the realms of sales, professional services, cloud, voice, data centre, and workforce optimisation.

Education and first sales roles

Brunt graduated Oaklands College in 1996 with a GNVQ in Advanced IT, equivalent to two A-Levels. In the fledgling years of his career, he quickly became accustomed to the sales world starting out as a sales assistant with NGK Spark Plugs Ltd in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire.

After three years with NGK Spark Plugs, Brunt moved to fellow Hemel Hempstead based business ADT Fire & Security, where he spent three years working as a sales executive.

First manager roles

The year 2003 saw Brunt join Virgin Business Solutions, where he spent just shy of three years working as an account manager. In early 2006, he moved onto Witness Systems where he worked as an SME channel manager for one-and-a-half years.

May 2007 saw Brunt make the move to Surrey-based Verint Systems, a global leader in actionable intelligence solutions and value-added services. He would spend two-and-a-half years with the company in the capacity of BT channel manager.

Foray into sales management

After a successful spell with Verint Systems, Brunt moved into his first sales manager role in November 2009, overseeing sales in Europe, the Middle East and Africa with Open-Wave Ltd, one of the world’s leading specialists for enterprise-wide workforce management solutions specialising in forecasting and staff scheduling.

Adtech and move across the Atlantic

In March 2012, Brunt took on his first director role with Adtech Global, a specialist in contact centre solutions including workforce optimisation, converged networks; providing solutions, integration and managed services. He took up the post of US regional sales director and worked for just under three-and-a-half years in the Greater Atlanta region in the US state of Georgia.

From April 2014, Brunt also juggled his US role with the Adtech regional sales director role for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He held both roles until his departure in July 2015.

Move back to the UK

After leaving Adtech Global, Brunt spent nine months working as a sales consultant with Intelecom, a multi-channel cloud contact centre technology provider based in London. After leaving in July 2016, he joined Cambridge-based business Tyco Integrated Fire & Security, where he would spend a further nine months as sales manager.

Channel management

In July 2017, Brunt moved into the field of channel management with West Yorkshire company Liquid Voice, a specialist in interaction analytics. Following just over two years with the business, Brunt moved southward once more to join London-based cloud services provider Exponential-e. He would spend ten months with the company in total, from July 2019 to April 2020.

Move to Telavox

In July 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic, Brunt joined Telavox in the capacity of partner sales manager. The Swedish company boasts UK headquarters in the Hampshire city of Southampton, yet much of Brunt’s first year at the business was spent working remotely due to Covid restrictions.

In March 2021, Brunt featured on a Leaders Council of Great Britain & Northern Ireland podcast, discussing the importance of leadership during the global health crisis and how Telavox has navigated the pandemic thus far.
