Alan Thompson is the managing director at Hi-Impact Consultancy, a provider of strategic and innovative IT support and media services to businesses and schools across the UK and abroad.
Alan Thompson originally founded Hi-Impact in 2005 to provide reliable, innovative and educational IT services. The firm now provides a complete IT support service as well as world class media services.
Thompson’s founding of the business followed a ten-year career in primary and secondary education in Canada. Hi-Impact’s capacity to implement innovative technologies to enrich all aspects of the curriculum has since been embraced by over 100 schools.
Hi-Impact has enjoyed year-on-year growth by delivering it services to more and more schools across the UK, providing a product that is in demand but not readily available regionally.
Outside of the UK, Hi-Impact has contracts with Jersey’s Education Department and several local schools, as well as clients on the Isle of Man. Over a three-year period, Thompson also offered consultancy services to a European project delivering professional development to universities in the UK, Greece, Cyprus and Denmark.
In October 2020, Thompson appeared on a Leaders Council of Great Britain & Northern Ireland podcast, discussing the importance of leadership and the impact it has had on his career to date.
