Adam Kiani is the CEO of PT Academy, the largest fitness education company in the UK. Adam Kiani is also the founder and chairman of UK Fitness Awards.

Career Overview

Kiani founded PT Academy in 2009 to raise standards throughout the health and fitness industry. It is now the largest fitness education company in the country and has enjoyed corporate partnerships with most major UK Gym chains including Pure Gym, The Gym Group and Xercise 4 Less. 

Kiani is an active member of the Institute of Directors, and chairman of the UK Fitness Awards. 

In April 2020, Kiani appeared on a Leaders Council of Great Britain & Northern Ireland podcast, discussing the importance of leadership and the impact it has had on his career to date.

In July 2018, Adam Kiani founded we Help Foundation, a UK registered charity. The charity signed off the building of a hospital in Shagrab Refugee Camp in December 2018. The hospital was officially opened in November 2019 and serves over 70,000 people.


Kiani is a graduate of Kingston University in London, where he completed a BSc in Computer Information Systems, Accountancy & Finance. 

Kiani studied for a Diploma in Freelance and Feature Writing at the London School of Journalism, which he completed in 2002. He also worked as a freelance journalist between 2001 and 2003. 

In 2007, Kiani completed an MBA [Master of Business Administration] at the University of Birmingham, with two models specialising in Sports Management.
