Mandy Cooper is the CEO of Bayberry, a provider of luxurious private residential treatment facilities for addiction and mental health issues. 

Bayberry offers three primary care facilities in the heart of England and a secondary care unit in Oxfordshire. It is a highly regarded, CQC registered facility with a quality team of professionals including medical and psychotherapy teams.

Career Overview

As CEO, Mandy carries responsibility across all areas of the organisation. She also provides specialist therapeutic sessions via a range of modalities. 

Her original background was in the legal, financial and communication sectors, and so Mandy brings a wealth of experience to her leadership role. She was also a writer for more than 30 years and was part of the strategic development teams for global brands, writing several books.

Mandy’s speciality is in anxiety and trauma, with emphasis on memory and the use of the mind’s own resources for the re-balancing and fulfilment of emotional needs. 

Mandy Cooper's career is distinguished by her expertise and passion for mental health, wellbeing, and care. Since September 2015, she has held the position of Chief Executive Officer at Bayberry Ltd, an organisation providing residential treatment for mental health and wellbeing across various locations in Warwickshire, West Midlands, and the Heart of England. Mandy Cooper is deeply committed to pioneering services and creating environments that inspire recovery for individuals in need.

Prior to her role as CEO at Bayberry Ltd, Mandy Cooper served as a Commercial Director in Birmingham from February 2012 to September 2015. Her strategic acumen and managerial skills contributed to the success of the organisation during her tenure.

Mandy Cooper's educational background includes a Graduate Certificate in Philosophy and Ethics from Harvard University Extension School, where she completed coursework on topics such as the Science of Memory, Medieval Exegesis and the Four Senses of Scripture, Biotechnology and the Human Good, Buddhist Philosophy, and Justice between 2017 and 2020.

Outside of her professional endeavours, Mandy Cooper actively engages in charitable work. She serves as the Treasurer for the Order of St Leonard, a charitable organisation promoting unity among Christian denominations and focusing on leadership development and poverty relief. Additionally, she served as a Director for Pathways Support and Community Association, an organisation offering long-term supported housing for individuals in recovery from alcohol and substance misuse issues in Weston Super Mare.

Mandy Cooper's multifaceted career reflects her dedication to improving the lives of individuals facing mental health and wellbeing challenges. Her expertise in business psychology, combined with her strategic management skills, contributes to her success in leading Bayberry Ltd and championing innovative approaches to care and recovery.

Education

Mandy holds a first-class honours degree in Psychology from Arden University, and a Diploma in Psychotherapy. She was awarded a graduate certificate from Harvard University Extension School, Cambridge, MA, having specialised in the science of memory, biotechnology, philosophy and justice.

She is also an alumna of the 2019 cohort of the Transformative Technology Academy, focusing on novel technologies and neuroscience-based solutions to support well-being, is a graduate member of the British Psychological Society, an international affiliate of the American Psychological Association, and a registered counsellor with ACC.  

Mandy most recently completed an MSc in Industrial and Organisational Psychology at Birkbeck, University of London, and an MBA at Arden University.
