James Cotton is the founder and managing director of Onespacemedia, a digital agency in Cambridge which creates powerful brands, websites and digital products that accelerate business growth.
Career Overview
After founding the business in 2009, Cotton has seen it develop an outstanding track record of working with life science, technology and academic organisations, helping them building inspiring brands and websites that drive action.
Cotton is an active creative and technical adviser with Cambridge Phenomenon Ltd and has previously owned another of his own businesses in the shape of Mousetank Ltd, a company which specialised in print, website design and communications for the charity sector. He has experience as a communications manager, following a seven-year stint with CAMFED [Campaign for Female Education] International between 1998 and 2005.
Cotton is also known in the world of academia, having served as a guest lecturer, mentor and industry adviser at Anglia Ruskin University, where he still makes appearances today.
In April 2020, Cotton appeared on a Leaders Council of Great Britain & Northern Ireland podcast, discussing the importance of leadership and the impact it has had on his career to date.
