By the time A&J D’Alton was founded in 1979, Anthony and his partner with whom he started the firm had worked for numerous larger practices in the public and private sectors. The objective for Anthony’s own business was to remain small and therefore focused on all key aspects of each client’s business, to ensure design really supported it as it grew.

Now, decades later, the business operates under the same ethos and it has proven immensely successful, helping retain many commercial clients on a long-term basis, some for well over 20 years. Throughout the more than 40 years that the business has been running, Anthony has helped guide the practice through periods of immense change for the architecture and design industry, particularly during the 1980s and 1990s.
